ARKADIAN

A native of Yerevan, Armenia, Arkadi Hakobyan has been spinning techno, tech house, progressive, psychedelica and dubstep since 2005.

Formerly known as Aziz Kılıç, he has played numerous venues around Turkey and Armenia, such as Dogzstar, Peyote, Boombox, Balans Tonique and Pixie in Istanbul, 1888 in İzmir, and Arevik-Lounge and Stop Club in Yerevan.

As one half of Fecr-i Ati, the electronica duo he formed with Nazif Kerem Güroğlu in Turkey, he co-produced many tracks. The duo released the six track Fro EP via Gergaz Records in 2010.

From 2011-2012, Arkadi had a fortnightly slot on Turkey's eminent electronic music radio channel FG 93.7 where he shared his love of electronic dance music through new mixes.

On stage, he has performed as Aziz Kılıç in events alongside well-known names like Popof, Riva Starr, Style of Eye, U.F.U.K., Murat Uncuoğlu, Ahmet Şendil and Queto.

Now known as Arkadian, he is currently based in Wellington, New Zealand.
